Thirteen years ago, in the wilds of Los Angeles, I launched my career as a freelance writer and marketing consultant. Since then, I've lived in both Knoxville, TN, and St. Louis (my hometown), and have had the good fortune to work with many interesting and esteemed clients. I’ve authored two books and written for dozens of well-known magazines. I’ve also lent my marketing mojo to national retailers, nonprofits, small businesses, and worthy politicians.
Long committed to civic involvement, I founded two nonprofit organizations in my community and served as executive director of my local downtown business district. During that time, I managed marketing and promotions for the Ferguson Farmers Market, guiding it to "Best Of" awards in both the city and the state. I also headed up my town's annual outdoor music festival, drawing record crowds of nearly 20,000.
A lightning-quick idea person and resourceful jill of all trades, I'm skilled in graphic design, event management, public relations, location scouting, and dreaming up innovative promotions. I'm also lucky to have great contacts in both local and national media.

In case you're interested, I absolutely love organic gardening, cooking from scratch, and canning my own pickles. I’m a library fiend. I own an all-natural bakery for wild birds. Afternoon movies are my favorite indulgence. I’m passionate about green living and thinking outside the box. Someday I hope to live in Europe, or anywhere by the ocean. Animals make my heart sing. I couldn’t exist without good music. I'm a sucker for Halloween and karaoke. And while others may claim to have the best family and friends in the world, I truly, definitely do.
